It started with a simple idea

Happy Expat was founded in 2017 by Marion Kuba from Munich.

After moving to Olivella - the so-called Sitges Hills, where she lived for over 15 years - she began helping other Expats navigate life and property in Spain.

Many international buyers arrived in Sitges and Olivella full of excitement, but also uncertainty. Buying property here comes with different rules, unfamiliar processes and language barriers.

What started as informal support became a real estate agency for Expats - structured, transparent and hands-on.

After Covid, Rossana and Tania joined. In 2024, Happy Expat opened its office in Sitges.

Today, we help clients buy and sell property in Sitges, Olivella and surrounding areas - from start to finish.

Because it’s not just about property.
It’s about arriving, feeling at home and becoming a Happy Expat.

Three women, one shared vision

Today, we are three women behind Happy Expat. Three different personalities, three different strengths - and six languages between us.

We are Expats ourselves. We know what it feels like to arrive in a new country, to navigate a different system, and to face all those small and big questions along the way. And maybe most importantly - we are also mums. Our children go to local schools, we live our daily lives here, and this is truly our home.

Our Expat-Meetups have become a special part of what we do.

It all started with a simple idea. Many of our clients had found their home, but still didn’t know many people. So we began bringing people together.

A few times a year, we organise meet-ups in carefully selected locations - from local Catalan venues to places run by Expats we like to support. Clients, collaborators and friends come together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Our most well-known event is the “Goodbye Summer” meet-up on the beach in Sitges - with a DJ, drinks, sunset and usually ends with dancing.

Over time, many friendships have started here.
